Infinium is a company backed by Bill Gates and Mitsubishi that creates synthetic fuel from water and CO₂. Its customers will now include both Amazon and American Airlines.
Until now, Infinium has been producing synthetic fuel on a relatively small scale, but the company is preparing to expand its production volumes considerably, as the first major customers have appeared. At present around 8300 litres of fuel are produced per day, but at full capacity that could reach 3 million litres a year.
