The golden jackal, already sighted several times on the German North Sea island of Sylt, attacked a flock of sheep on the List peninsula again on the night of 6 June. Two lambs were injured and one was killed. The animals' owner confirmed that he had seen the jackal through a night vision device and immediately informed local hunters.
