ZAZA TIMBER has built an electric charging station in Copenhagen made from glulam

The Latvian group of companies “ZAZA TIMBER” has built an eco-friendly, uniquely designed fast electric vehicle charging station made of glulam (glulam) in front of the Frederiksberg municipal building in Copenhagen's inner city.

The architecture of the station was developed by the Danish architectural firm “Cobe”. It was built to the order of “CLEVER”, a Danish electric vehicle charging station and mobility solutions company.

The structure was produced in Latvia from FSC-certified spruce wood and was manufactured based on the principles of a Lego set, with three ZAZA TIMBER group companies in the Jelgava municipality collaborating as designer, manufacturer and builder. ZAZA TIMBER designers developed the structural detailing and designed the panels and their fastenings. The glulam components were produced and roof modules were manufactured in Latvia, while the final assembly was carried out by the builder in Denmark. This approach allowed for rapid construction with almost zero production waste. In Copenhagen, the Latvian builders completed the assembly of the structure in six days.
