At a time when all attention is focused on the military conflict in Ukraine and access to various Russian internet resources is restricted, information about widespread wildfires in many Russian regions has gone almost unnoticed. Large areas of agricultural land and forests have been devastated, several villages have burned to the ground, and dozens of people have lost their lives. Experts point out that the true scale of the fires is likely unknown to anyone, as they are simply not being recorded. On the other hand, it is noted that many Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel and equipment have currently been diverted to Ukraine. (...)
