The Danish government concluded a 160 billion krone (22 billion euro) infrastructure agreement on Monday, of which 64 billion is earmarked for new roads, but only 3 billion for so-called "cycling projects". What is happening? The political agreement between the parties forming the Danish government on the Danish Infrastructure Plan 2035 provides for the implementation of major infrastructure projects, namely the construction of motorways, railways and tunnels over the next 14 years.

At the same time, Denmark's plans to reduce emissions by 70% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels, have not changed. Explaining the situation, the Danish Finance Minister remarked that the aforementioned infrastructure project would not affect climate targets.
