Why does Putin's "restaurant of lies" have so few takers in America?

Since the day Vladimir Putin began creating his offering (literally, the menu) for the war in Ukraine, the management of his propaganda media (the chefs) have been working three shifts a day, seven days a week, so that the thin soup of information served up does not get stuck in the throats of Russian citizens, and also, to effectively hide the true intentions of the invasion.

I must admit, I (the author of this article) have previously doubted that the state-sponsored propaganda supported by Putin would persist in Russia for long. The current population of Russia has grown up accustomed to independent and foreign media, which is why the ban and censorship of these has served as a warning to many about what lies ahead. The curious still have the opportunity to use communication tools to listen to foreign news. There is the BBC or shortwave radio stations, there is Telegram and Signal. Many Russian citizens have relatives and friends in Ukraine who can inform them about what is happening.

Who is Putin's propaganda in the West intended for? Does it affect many people?
