Looking back at the most significant work of 2021 – both completed and initiated – it is evident that nature conservation and the preservation of natural assets are facing substantial change. The need for change is driven not only by European Union regulations and the new 'Green Deal', but also by shifts in people's lifestyles and habits, which are focused on active involvement in conservation activities and spending more time in nature. Consequently, it is becoming increasingly important to seek compromises and new solutions to find a balance between social, economic, private, and nature conservation interests.
