To inform the public about the forthcoming deposit system, which will begin operations on 1 February, the implementer of the deposit system in Latvia, SIA Depozīta iepakojuma operators, reminds us that glass, plastic (PET), and metal (can) packaging containing non-alcoholic beverages, all types of beer, and other alcoholic drinks (up to 6%) can be returned to the deposit system. Packaging must not have significant damage, and the beverage label must feature a clearly readable barcode and the Latvian deposit system mark.
