The capital of our neighbouring country, Tallinn, has been crowned the European Green Capital 2023. This was announced at the end of September in the Finnish city of Lahti, where Tallinn "outperformed" Krakow, Sofia and Helsingborg. Within European borders, it will now be considered a pioneer of sustainability. Estonians have applied for the "Green Capital" opportunity more than once, only securing the coveted honour this year.
