There was a sawmill in a wooden shed that wasn't working. We mowed the nettles, connected the electricity, and started little by little. There was even a time when the sawmill was operating seven days a week. The business grew. The time of privatisation began. Many people needed money, not the land they had inherited.
Gradually, I bought forest land and now I work in forestry, providing various services to other forest owners. Why was I drawn to the forest? When I was still a child, at the end of every school year, my dad and I would plant a birch tree by the lakeside. Later, I could see what had grown from those birch trees. That gave me a certain understanding.
