Wages will continue to rise in many sectors. Inequality will increase

The average wage, which is the "main highlight" of today's news, has grown by 10.4%, reaching 1,280 euros. In Lithuania, wages rose by 9.9% in the 3rd quarter. In Estonia, by 7.8%. Over the last five years, the average wage in Latvia has grown by 49%, and by 93% over ten years. Economists, commenting on the data provided by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP), describe the trend as logical and predict further wage growth due to labour shortages.
