In the near future, several tens of thousands of telecommunications towers will be built across Europe. It is observed that towers with timber components are (and will continue to be) in high demand, especially in regions or locations where the local landscape is highly valued.

In Milan, located in northern Italy, motorists are greeted and delighted by the view from the motorway of the country's first telecommunications tower built using timber construction. The 40-metre-high tower was erected last summer, replacing the previous steel-structured tower.

"Our task and duty is to use materials that have a low impact on the environment and are in harmony with the landscape, blending into it. Glued and laminated timber is an excellent choice in this regard."
