In the 2nd quarter, the economy exceeded pre-Covid-19 levels; however, uncertainty is growing regarding the epidemiological situation in autumn.

According to data published by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP), GDP in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was 11.1% higher than a year earlier. According to seasonally adjusted data, growth during the 2nd quarter reached 4.4%. Economic volumes exceeded the level of the 4th quarter of 2019, which was the last before the Covid-19 pandemic, by 0.9%.
