During the period of martial law, Ukraine will impose restrictions on the export of food products that may be in short supply within the country, and has already restricted the export of buckwheat, rye and oats, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi announced on Saturday.
At the same time, he emphasised that the government is closely monitoring the situation regarding food products that require export licences, specifically wheat and sugar, but will not regulate the export of goods for which sufficient stocks have been built up – this, in turn, applies to sunflower oil and maize.
