Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced highly ambitious plans to plant one billion trees in the country over the next three years. This announcement came just a few days after the conclusion of discussions on climate issues at COP26 in Glasgow. Together with the 27 European Union countries, Ukraine hopes to make its contribution to the planting of 3 billion trees, helping to restore the lungs of the planet.
