(...) The results are obtained from Edelman Research's latest trust barometer. In November 2021, 36,000 people were surveyed in 28 countries regarding their trust in various state institutions. In the USA, this figure is much lower than in many other countries, and trust in the governments of Canada and Australia stands at 53% and 52% respectively. It is also slightly lower than in the United Kingdom, where the government's Brexit strategy has proven highly controversial, with public trust in the government at 42% at the end of 2021 (...)
