While working on the property, the ruins of an old chicory kiln were uncovered; these were once known locally as 'dāres'. This is the inspiration behind the name for the 'Vidnieki' rural property on social media: "DARE atpūties dabā". Incidentally, the English word "dare" means to be bold or have courage, a concept very close to the hearts of Indulis and Sanita—a sentiment that comes up repeatedly during our conversation.
