Construction processes in the USA have been seriously affected by a historic surge in timber prices, high costs for other building materials, and various supply delays. Although there are a number of favourable conditions, such as low mortgage interest rates, the construction sector has been unable to provide the necessary boost to the market. Fortunately, timber prices have begun to fall, with forecasts suggesting they will drop below $1,000 per thousand board feet in the coming weeks.
