Raivis Kronbergs approved as State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture (ZM)
On Tuesday, 21 December, the government approved Raivis Kronbergs for the position of State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture (ZM). Previously, Mr Kronbergs served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice. Mr Kronbergs possesses valuable experience in public administration, which will be highly useful as the Ministry of Agriculture implements Latvia's Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan 2023-2027 in practice – a medium-term policy planning document that sets out support priorities and support instruments for agriculture and rural development.
Roberts Strīpnieks has decided to step down as head of a/s “Latvijas valsts meži”
Roberts Strīpnieks, Chairman of the Board of a/s “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM), has made the decision to step down as head of the company effective 30 December of this year. Roberts Strīpnieks has been the Chairman of the Board of LVM since the company's founding in October 1999, holding the position for over twenty years. Under the leadership of Mr Strīpnieks' team, the scale of LVM's operations has grown more than tenfold – from a turnover of 24 million euros in 2000 to 349 million last year. Over the past twenty years, the company has paid 1.35 billion euros in taxes and dividends to the state.
The next head of LATRAPS will be Roberts Strīpnieks
Valters Bruss, Chairman of the Council of the agricultural services cooperative LATRAPS, has announced that the next head of LATRAPS will be Roberts Strīpnieks, the current Chairman of the Board of a/s “Latvijas valsts meži”. The changes to the board of Latvia's largest agricultural company, LATRAPS, will take effect on 17 January 2022.
