The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM) proposes subsidising the purchase of new electric vehicles for residents in the amount of 4,500 euros. Furthermore, if a resident scraps their old car, the state will increase the support by an additional 1,000 euros. This is stated in an informative report from VARAM, which was accepted for information by the government on Tuesday. Several conditions are foreseen; for example, the price of the car must not exceed 50,000 euros excluding value added tax, and the buyer will not be allowed to sell the car for four years.
