The water in the world's oceans is becoming warmer, causing concern among weather forecasters that ongoing climate change could "create" (stimulate) a chaotic and unpredictable year in terms of weather.

In March of this year (2020), heat records were broken in certain regions of the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans (as reported by the U.S. National Center for Environmental Information). Unusually high temperatures can "add more fury and power" to both the Atlantic hurricane season and the forest fire season in the Amazon region and Australia, and the period of heat records and severe thunderstorms could continue in the Southern United States.
