The State Plant Protection Service (VAAD) has joined an international, European Union (EU) funded project aimed at reducing the negative impact of invasive alien species in protected areas within the cross-border region of Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus, which also includes the eradication of Sosnowsky's hogweed in these countries.
