Scientists have discovered that the rise in global sea levels began earlier than previously thought. Using more advanced technologies, researchers have concluded that water levels started rising as early as 1960. As is known, it was previously believed that the process began in the early 1990s. Researchers from the University of Siegen, using statistical methods combined with tidal measurements, have created a global and local sea-level map for the period between 1900 and 2015.
