At the gala awards ceremony for the “Export and Innovation Award 2023” held in the Kokars Hall of the Mežaparks Open-air Stage, companies that have demonstrated excellence in exporting, as well as creating new and innovative products or services over the past year, were honoured. The competition is the highest national award in business, organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economics, the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP), the financial institution “Altum”, and the Latvian exporters association “The Red Jackets”.

The “Export Champion” award was traditionally presented by the patron of the “Export and Innovation Award”, State President E. Rinkēvičs. This year, the award was received by the company “Latvijas Finieris”, which managed to increase its export turnover by 27% over the past year.

This year, for the first time, an “Innovation Champion” award was also presented in the state-owned enterprise group, which was received by “Latvijas valsts meži” for innovations in the fields of logistics, data processing, and drone technology.
