The third part of the European Investment Bank (EIB) climate survey, conducted in 2021-2022, collated and analysed people's opinions on climate change in a rapidly changing world. The results clarify people's stances (views) regarding the impact of the Green Deal on their lives and daily routines.
Key findings
56% of Europeans think that climate policy is an engine for economic growth (source)
56% think that climate policy will increase employment (create more new jobs)
61% of Europeans think that climate policy will improve their lives
25% fear that they might lose their jobs because their current employment may not be compatible with the need to mitigate climate change (it should be noted that 20-29-year-olds are more concerned about job loss in this regard, namely 44%)
66% feel that climate change will continue to be a relevant issue in 2050 (...)
