A mountain lion as a house pet... It really sounds like a nightmare, but...

On 20 January this year, a representative from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality posted a photograph on the Twitter website with the comment: "You are cold. They have a fur coat, but do not let them inside!" The photograph shows a mountain lion lounging in the snow. This post has been shared more than 22,000 times, and, contrary to the comment provided, people have shown an interest in the possibility of getting to know a mountain lion as a house pet. In a conversation, a department representative emphasised that mountain lions cannot be pets, which is being repeated time and time again, yet there is a fear that one morning they might wake up, look online, and conclude that people have decided against common sense and are prepared to keep one of these mountain lions at home.
