The Nature Conservation Agency invites bids in auctions for firewood and branches for wood chips

The Nature Conservation Agency (the agency) is re-announcing three electronic auctions for firewood and branches for wood chip production in Ķemeri and Sigulda. Bidders may register for the auctions until 27 October (inclusive); the auctions close on 6 November at 13.00.

The Pierīga Regional Administration is auctioning 117 m³ of firewood, with a starting price of 30 euros/m³. The firewood is stacked in a pile and is located in Jūrmala, Ķemeri, on the grounds of “Meža mājas”. It can be inspected by arranging a viewing time in advance with an agency representative on tel. +371 29143115.

The Vidzeme Regional Administration is auctioning 120 m³ of firewood and 115 m³ of branches for wood chip production, located in Laurenči, Sigulda, in the nature reserve zone of the Gauja National Park. The firewood, mostly spruce affected by bark beetles, is standing in the forest stand, and the buyer must carry out the removal of the roundwood themselves, complying with the binding regulations of the Gauja National Park. The starting price of the auction is 25 euros/m³. The branches, meanwhile, have been placed in a stack. The starting price of the auction is 6.5 euros/loose m³.
