Ministerial debate: "100 Days in Government: Climate, Nature and Environmental Policy Plans"

The "Zaļais barometrs" (Green Barometer) initiative is organising a "Green Grill" discussion – a ministerial debate titled "100 Days in Government: Climate, Nature and Environmental Policy Plans". The discussion will focus on planned future activities in environmental policy.

Participants in the discussion will include the Minister for Climate and Energy, Raimonds Čudars, the Minister for Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Māris Sprindžuks, and the Minister for Agriculture, Didzis Šmits.

Moderated by journalist Gundars Rēders.

The discussion will take place on Thursday, 30 March, from 12:00 to 12:45 at the EU House Fireplace Hall (Aspazijas bulvāris 28, Riga). Prior registration is mandatory for in-person attendance by 23 March by filling out a short form: https://ej.uz/Zalogrilu, as space in the room is limited.

The discussion can also be attended online at https://www.zalais-barometrs.lv/, on the "Zaļais barometrs" Facebook page, on LSM, and on the websites and social media channels of the initiative's partners. Recordings of the Green Grill will be available here after the live broadcast and can also be viewed on the channel TV4.

The "Zaļais barometrs" project and the "Green Grill" discussions are implemented by Latvia’s most influential environmental NGOs: the Latvian Fund for Nature, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Latvian Ornithological Society, the Latvian Association of Organic Agriculture, and the association "Zaļā brīvība" (Green Liberty). The initiative's goal is to monitor and evaluate political developments related to nature and environmental issues.
