To raise awareness of the growing importance of forest resources in solving environmental problems, a/s "Latvijas valsts meži" (LVM), in cooperation with the association “Zaļās mājas”, a/s "Latvijas Finieris", SIA "Rīgas meži" and the National Centre for Education, is organising a scholarship competition for secondary school students called “LVM Bioeconomy School”. Over three rounds, young people explore, research in the field and solve issues concerning the innovative field of bioeconomy. This year's theme was wood biorefining.
