For the fifth year, LVM, in cooperation with LMA, invited young artists to link their creativity with sustainable environmental development and the growing role of the forest in the Latvian economy by participating in the "Latvijas valsts meži Art Scholarship" competition. This year, 16 works by young artists were selected for the final, with each author depicting their own feeling and understanding of the value of the forest and the development of environmental sustainability. LMA Vice-Rector Andris Vītoliņš praised the effort put in by the students, as despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic, they managed to maintain artistic quality this year. "We are pleased with the students' enduring interest in the theme of the forest and that through this competition we can enrich each other by allowing different sectors to interact," says A. Vītoliņš.
