At a time when British homeowners are considering a government offer of £5,000 (€5,927) to support the installation of heat pumps, Italian residents are enjoying much more generous support schemes. The Italian government is offering every homeowner a 110% refund on costs invested in making their home more eco-friendly. This support scheme was announced in 2020. Its aim is to help Italian homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their properties (buildings) and reduce the risk of the impact of seismic activity (potential damage to buildings in the event of an earthquake).
