The sixth mass extinction of species differs from the previous five because its cause is clear: humans, or, to be more precise, the world's wealthiest people. At the same time, Africa is receiving blow after blow from climate change.

For the first time in 65 million years, we are facing a mass extinction of species, or at least that is what a new study (1) tells us. Recent reports in this regard are disturbingly surprising, as the speed at which humans are stimulating climate change and affecting the natural environment is unprecedented. Some scientists even predict that up to 75% of current species will be unable to survive in the future.

This is not just about the massive loss of species; it is about the North's debt to the South — specifically, the economic expansion of the Earth's northern regions, which has significantly impacted and even traumatised the Earth's southern regions. In any case, the world's powers are fully responsible for 80% of greenhouse gas emissions since the beginning of the industrial revolution.
