Latvijas valsts meži’s Zebrus Lake is included in the “Zebrus and Svēte Lakes” nature reserve and has been protected since 1957. At the end of last year, new individual protection and usage regulations for the nature reserve were issued, reports “mammadaba.lv”.

In accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 671 of 17 December 2019, “Individual protection and usage regulations for the ‘Zebrus and Svēte Lake’ nature reserve”, it is permitted to enter LVM Zebrus Lake with one’s own non-motorised watercraft, whilst observing the seasonal restricted zone from the melting of the ice until 30 June.
