Quality products and services, a competitive price, availability and outstanding service are all essential if a company is to win recognition among customers, yet many businesses, in order to be noticed and to stand out in fierce competition, make use of one more option alongside advertising that helps them stick in the minds of potential and existing customers – an effective name.

Among the 9320 new companies registered in 2024, there are several whose names are particularly memorable. “Lursoft IT” takes a look at which of last year's newly registered company names are the most amusing.

With spring under way and the weather outside the window growing ever warmer, it is time to review your wardrobe. And on the way, just pop in at IK “Tava Sapņu Kariete” in Jūrmala or SIA “Smuks Auto” in Liepāja for something to drive, so you can speed onwards into spring.

Setting off in spring on an empty stomach is not a sensible plan. Where to fill it? There is plenty on offer! You need only choose the place nearest to you, or the one whose name appeals most. In Rīga, for instance, you can make your way to SIA “Svetkas garša”, SIA “Maģiska garša” or SIA “Ēd mani”, while in Talsu novads IK “Kebabu Karalis” promises to take care of your stomach's wellbeing. To make a springtime journey across the whole of Latvia more memorable and more fun, be sure to take along your “Laimīgais Draugs”, because only someone who knows you best will know when to shout “DOD VIRSŪ” and when the conversation should stay “Viena teikuma robežās”, since a better fit for the background is the “Zirgu podkāsts”, hosted by “Ugunīgais Zirgs”.

Where to go together and what to see? The sheer range on offer is bewildering! Rīga is home to SIA “Basketbola dižpasākumi”, SIA “Jaunavu dārzs” and even SIA “Alus vanna”, and if our beloved planet seems too small, you can head off into space and travel to SIA “Dog Planet” or SIA “Brīnumu planēta”, calling in along the way on IK “Dieva dēls”. As they would say in Dienvidkurzemes novads – “Kusties Vesels”!

It will turn into a proper 1 April adventure, perhaps even the “Iespējams labākais” there can be. And we will also find out “Kas lācītim vēderā” for the new companies, because there is “Kur palikt”, there is someone to “Augt kopā” with, the “Situācijas plāns” is clear too, and there are no two ways about it – “Ceļam nākotni” together.
