Too much empty froth has been whipped up, and too many castles in the air have been built regarding the so-called Green Deal. At the same time, there has been too little dispassionate calculation regarding the price that must be paid and the consequences that will follow in pursuing this defined climate conservation goal.

Specifically, are the solutions chosen truly more environmentally friendly than current practices? If so, then great, but are they always? This imbalance is becoming increasingly clear, as we encounter more and more examples where the interests of certain countries or groups of people are hidden behind climate conservation slogans, while omitting the fact that, in their name, we are essentially heading in the exact opposite direction from a climate perspective.
