Although the storm that raged across Latvia at the beginning of the week was generally strong, with wind gusts reaching 32 metres per second, no major damage has been detected in Latvijas valsts meži. According to operational information available to a/s “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM), the total volume of wind-felled and broken timber reached approximately 12 thousand cubic metres.

The greatest damage from Monday's storm was recorded in the LVM Zemgale region, where the total volume of wind-felled and broken timber reached 5 thousand cubic metres, while the least damage – approximately one thousand cubic metres of wind-felled timber – occurred in the LVM Ziemeļkurzeme region.
