The chair of the European Union's Platform on Sustainable Finance has called for "clarity" on how the European Commission takes account of the expert group's recommendations. For instance, disputes are swirling around the inclusion of nuclear energy and gas in the Commission's latest taxonomy proposals.

This points to increasingly strained relations between the Commission and the Platform, with many Platform members frustrated that the Commission's taxonomy proposals have deviated from their recommendations by including the aforementioned nuclear energy and gas.
