- To find 20 billion euros each year for biodiversity needs from various sources — EU funds, national and private funding. Natural capital and biodiversity considerations will be integrated into business practices.
- To ensure the EU is one of the world leaders in addressing the global biodiversity crisis. The Commission will mobilise all external action tools and international partnerships to reach an agreement on a new and ambitious UN Global Biodiversity Framework at the 2021 Convention on Biological Diversity Conference of the Parties.
