Last week, the European Commission (EC) unveiled an ambitious action plan for the development of organic production. The overall objective of the plan is to boost the production and consumption of organic products in the European Union, to ensure that 25% of agricultural land is used for organic farming by 2030, and to significantly increase the volume of organic aquaculture production.
