The Covid-19 pandemic is slowly fading, but the Russian invasion of Ukraine has powerfully shaken the entire existing international order. The most serious military conflict in Europe since the Second World War has not only created a massive human tragedy, indeed a catastrophe, but has also fundamentally rocked energy markets, shifted the very foundations of energy security, and, it appears, spurred a desire to pivot towards cleaner energy sources.
