The city of Jyväskylä (Jyväskylä) in Finland has gained a new landmark built from local logs – a sustainably constructed sauna and restaurant (in Finnish Sataman Viilu) by the lake, close to the city centre. It is an interesting piece of new architecture.
"In the future, Jyväskylä will be defined by Sataman Viilu. We wanted the building on the lakeshore to have a special and impressive shape, and, in my opinion, the young architects have succeeded by offering something new and original," says Antti Määttä, Chairman and CEO of the real estate company Osuuskauppa Keskimaa.
