At the end of February, a meeting of the council of the company SIA Rīgas meži took place, during which, based on the decision of the nomination committee for the selection and assessment of board members, the results of the competition for board members were approved. The incumbent head of the company, Anita Skudra, was elected as Chair of the Board, and Valdis Vasiļevskis and the current head of the company's Forestry Department, Jānis Ģērmanis, were appointed as board members.

The areas of responsibility for the Chair of the Board, A. Skudra, will be the strategic management of the company, corporate governance and sustainability, communication, and property management. Board member J. Ģērmanis will be responsible for forestry, logging, and timber product manufacturing. Meanwhile, the third board member, V. Vasiļevskis, will be in charge of financial management, as well as administrative and legal matters.
