The Swedish Armed Forces have increased their activities on Gotland, citing noticeable tension in relations between Russia and NATO. Army units based on Gotland will increase patrolling so that the public can see them and feel more secure. A representative of the Armed Forces confirmed to Sveriges Radio that the intensity of patrols has been increased due to the aforementioned tension, while at the same time emphasising that the likelihood of an armed attack is low.
