From 6 February to 6 March 2025, the Rural Support Service invites applications for the second round of two support measures in the field of forestry. The aim of these activities is to carry out afforestation, regeneration and replacement of forest stands, as well as to provide for the tending of afforested areas and the thinning of young stands.

LA 7 "Investments in sustainable forestry" – the amount of public funding is 9.5 million euros. The funds are to be allocated to the following activities:

• thinning of young stands and replacement of forest stands – 6 million euros;
• afforestation activity – 2 million euros;
• regeneration of forest stands destroyed by forest fires and natural disasters – 1.5 million euros.

LA8 "Support for improving and maintaining the resilience and ecological value of forest ecosystems" – total funding of 3 million euros is provided.

The implementation deadline for submitted projects, where thinning of young stands and/or afforestation or replacement of forest stands is carried out (without subsequent tending), is 1 September 2026. Where additional agrotechnical tending is involved, the deadline is 1 September 2028.
