When owners argue, the company suffers

Aivars Tauriņš: This has been a very complicated year. We feel it particularly acutely because 2018 was unexpectedly, perhaps even undeservedly, outstanding. From a forestry perspective, and based on what was happening in the market, it was a year in which only those who did nothing could fail to make a profit. Those who were active, even to a small extent, were able to make a good profit and strengthen their positions. People get used to good times very quickly, which is why this year looks significantly gloomier. It is difficult to come to terms with the step backwards. At the same time, there is no reason for panic, as we have returned to a normal track, the same rhythm we were working in during 2017 and 2016.
