From 12 December this year, residents and visitors of Latgale will have the opportunity to travel by train to Indra two days a week. Services on this route have been restored after a 21-year break.
The Riga-Daugavpils express service, which was extended to Krāslava a year ago, will now carry passengers further – to Indra station. On Thursdays and Fridays, a train from Riga will arrive at Indra station, while on Fridays and Saturdays, a train will depart from Indra to Riga. Regular train services are also a benefit to the residents of Latgale, who wish to use this convenient and affordably priced mode of transport to reach the capital.
