"Orkla Latvija" began a gradual transition to using responsibly sourced cocoa in the production of its "Laima" brand products in 2021, the company reports.

Currently, "Laima" brand chocolate dragees, as well as "Rudzupuķe" and "Vētrasputns" sweets, are produced using cocoa that has received "Rainforest Alliance" certification. Very soon, "Laima's" "Mad Milk" milk chocolate bars, "Prozit" chocolate boxes, "Selga" biscuits, chocolate-covered salted peanuts, milk chocolate biscuit balls and other products made with responsibly sourced cocoa will be available on the market, with the entire "Laima" and "Selga" chocolate confectionery range to follow gradually by 2024. In total, the company plans to invest 600,000 euros in this improvement project.
