Timber office building in Lizums

An energy-efficient and sustainable timber-framed office building for a significant Vidzeme timber industry company. The building integrates the company’s administrative and catering functions, creating a comfortable meeting space for employees and a contemporary focal point within the factory complex, clearly visible from the approach road. The focus is on the rational use of resources by implementing a universal layout based on the building’s structural and climatological systems, whilst utilising locally sourced materials wherever possible. The linear building volume with overhangs and a south-north orientation ensures predictable and controllable building ventilation and shading of the interior spaces.
