A note from zemeunvalsts.lv: having listened to the programme, one has to conclude that it could serve as a teaching example for anyone who says anything about the independence of the public media (independence from whom exactly?), security and the state. As one can hear, there is minimal interest in the economic side, while nature, tree diameters and biodiversity are currently more important (which is not to say that these are unimportant!) and so on. Not a single journalist versed in economics or economic security was invited onto the programme, but people well known to the industry as unfriendly to it were... Of course, that is an editorial choice, but nobody is stopping us from criticising that editorial choice right here and right now.
