Not every board has to end up on a bonfire

Jānis Kreišmanis, Artūrs Koškins, Mārtiņš Zabarovskis and Uģis Grīnbergs have known each other since the nineties and call themselves friends with a shared vision. These enterprising men are from Saldus. After several years spent in "exile", they have returned to their home region, with which they now also link their daily occupation. By creating the brand "20k Design", they want to make wood mighty once again, crafting useful household design objects out of old and seemingly useless materials. A large proportion of the timber is sourced from old, demolished buildings, although they have even had to pull very good raw materials out of bonfires lit by friends.

The idea that it is possible to offer design objects from recycled timber, obtained during the demolition of buildings, belongs to Jānis, who has been working in the industry for 15 years.
